Bridging the Great Divide!
Learning to Lead - Capacity Building through TVM Gurukul
What will power New India’s giant leaps? Knowledge and skill…acquired first hand by an open mind, through a revolution in Total Village Management.

Integrated Approach to Development Approach

While reviewing the initiatives undertaken by various agencies in rural development, we found that most of them were unable to make a real difference because they focused only on one or two problem areas. So, based on the feedback of the people themselves, we developed a new approach of convergence. An approach where People lead the way, in collaboration with Public and Private bodies, including research institutions, government officers, financial institutions, etc. An integrated model, supported by certain pillars or key areas –

  • Community Organization, Capacity Building, Socio-Cultural Activities
  • Natural Resources Land & Water
  • Agro Forest Horticulture & Agriculture
  • Education & Social Justice
  • Health  Hygiene & Sanitation
  • Livelihood
  • Renewable Energy
  • Infrastructure
  • Resource Mobilisation
To put the TVM theory into successful practice, we took a step forward by providing facilities at Rukka village to be established as TVM Gurukula pathbreaking concept in integrated rural development.

New Indians ..............................................................................................

  • Meet the Champions...

Big ideas touch lives in many little ways. The success of TVM Gurukul will empower the people of Jharkhand to become the champions they were born to be.

And the road ahead is lit up with smiles of those who have already learned the TVM MNTRA.

Like Kiran Kumari of Chora village who revived her fater's midas touch Chhote Lal Sonar hails from a family of skilled goldsmiths.Born with Midas Touch, Chhote Lal LACKED THE RESOURCES TO START THE JEWELLERY BUSINESS THAT HE DREAMED OF.

And that was where his daughter Kiran Kumari showed him the way... the KGVK way.

At a meeting of Sharda Self-Help Group, Kiran persuaded the members to apply for a loa from SBI (Tayo Works Branch) on behalf of her father, providing adequate security.

Today, Chhhote Lal's dream is a reality thanks to his daughter's vision... and a little help from KGVK
